11 weeks today!!

That means only 13 weeks until bedrest but better yet...... 25-26 weeks until I meet my babies! (since delivering 36-37 weeks), wow it is going by fast! Here is the updated picture on their development. Today's report is that they are now the size of limes, awe my little limes :)

Nothing to exciting here. Pat is gone this week so it may be a long week........... back in FL when Pat would travel for work I would make plans every night, visit the neighbors, visit my parents, Pat's mom, dinner with friends, it would always go so fast......... not this week its just me and Maggie. I think I may pick up a few movies or something. I also signed up for a couple groups on a site called meetup.com. Its kind of a fun site they have groups that have all kinds of interest, from political to dogs to work to baby stuff... of course I was on baby stuff mission. I found a group for pregnant moms, hopefully they will have some events I can go to soon.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!

Yipppeeeee!!!! Babies are great!!!

Well today I FINALLY met my new Dr. He was super nice and really took alot of time going over my history and answered every question I had. We will be delivering the babies between 36-37 weeks... so probably a week or so before Halloween... how fun they will always have a great theme for a birthday party :)

He did a regular exam and then a ultrasound yippee!!! I was 10 weeks 4 days today... Baby A is my chunky monkey measuring 11 weeks and 176 bpm, Baby B measured 10 weeks 4 days exactly and had 171 bpm. I got to hear their heartbeats for the first time and saw them moving their little hands and feet.. it was pretty amazing.....and to see them start to take form as little babies instead of little beans so quickly ... I just love it. Baby B kept moving its little head like he/she was snuggling on a pillow, so cute.

So here it goes.....I got a spread eagle of Baby A and I know its reallllly early but I am pretty certain this little one is.... A...... BOY.... there is a bright spot with a little bulge smack dab in the middle. Its early... but that is my guess :) Wonder what little Baby B will be?? If I went by old wives tales they used to guess gender by heart rates, higher then 160 was girls so then I would be carrying two girls. Hmmmm I guess time will tell :)

The next great news is my next ultrasound apt is in two weeks :) I get to see them again soooo soon and Pat will get to come as well so it will be extra special. The not so great news is... after that ultrasound they will decide if they want to stitch my cervix closed (ouch!!!) to help differ pre-term labor. He started me on Lovenox- a blood thinner- for the rest of my pregnancy.... more daily shots UGH I thought I was done with those, but its for the babies and I will gladly do it. Lastly........................ BED REST............ at 24 weeks :( That means I have to cancel my trip to FL in August, I was really hoping to go and see friends and family one last time before the babies come, I asked if I could maybe go at like 20-22 weeks and then get back and do bed rest and he was like "um... not really.. but we will check your cervix around then and make a final decision" so here's to hoping I can make a trip back before sitting in bed for 3 months...

Overall, I couldn't be happier with my apt. We have two healthy babies!!!!

No news..

So I went to the OB and had the fastest apt ever.... checked in, blood pressure, weight, exam checked out and back in the car in under 20 minutes!!!

That is fabulous I know except I was hoping she took a listen to the babies, nope just a quick look, swap, rx and out the door didn't even feel my belly.... however no biggie since Friday I should get all the goods done with my new Dr. I am super excited for that apt.

So what was a girl to do with all of that free time after my apt???? Go shopping :) Not for clothes or fun shoes but I hit a Joann's Fabrics. I needed some little project ideas to keep me busy and from going stir crazy.... when I happened to learn that they are moving stores and had a huge closeout on all of the fabric!!! Happy Dance!!! I got soooooo much fabric for a great bargain. It was 50% off and an additional 75% if it was the end of the roll. They had such cute baby prints but I restrained myself since I don't know what we are having yet. I just got one ivory print with little bears and the soft satin to line some cute blankets with, the fabric was just to soft to pass up. The best was an adorable apron kit, I can not wait to make it... Apron's may be for old ladies but I don't have one and I have ruined a couple nice shirt while cooking so I figured it was a good investment :)

Well its not Friday and...........

I am going to the Dr.... the OB in fact... the one who doesn't want me as her patient hahahaha. I officially stopped taking my shots on Sunday. Monday morning I started my other type of progesterone which I will be on till I am 11 weeks so just a few more days you would think that I could make it with no issues... well we are talking about me here so its not that easy. I have a little problem "down there" ugh!!!

I tried to just move my Friday apt up however, no dice, no Dr there until Friday. So I am off to the OB today at 3:00. Not sure if I will get any other good info on my babies but you can be sure if I do you all will be the first to know.... right after Pat of course :)

Speaking of Pat.... poor man. My hormones got the best of me yesterday for the first time last night. Let me begin by saying I am not a yeller, screamer, thrower or any thing like that by nature. I try very hard when Pat and I have a disagreement never to raise my voice....... sooooooooo this is what happened....

I was starving but I went grocery shopping instead of grabbing a snack this is at about 5:15 (yes this is probably my first mistake) and I managed my time so I would finish just in time to pick Pat up from the Metro station 6:15.... First thing I tell him is "oooh can't wait for dinner, starving" when we realized we had to make a quick trip to Petsmart for Maggie's food (special diet... gotta love that dog).. we pull in home at 7:10--- I am shaking at this point so hungry. Its turkey taco night yummy... before even unloading the groceries.. I throw the meat in the pan, brown it, put in the water start the rice and open the Taco kit box to get the seasoning package.......... except this kit for some reason doesn't have one.... for those who don't know... my hubby is a tinsy bit frugal and it has rubbed off on me so when I shop I go cheap so this is also probably my fault for not FULLY reading the box however I have bought alot of taco kits in my day and I have NEVER had one that didn't come with the seasoning. So I turned to him and said "there is no seasoning can you please run to the store and grab a pack......." and he said "no lets just eat it the way it is" I look down at the turkey in the pan with water and............... freak out, yep totally freak out, slammed the cabinet screamed something along the lines of I will go myself along with a few other not so nice things..... dang hormones. Poor Pat was coming after me saying he would go... too late I was out the door. Lucky for the cashier ....who was training of course... I restrained myself as he asked his trainer how much money it was worth when I handed him a dime... SERIOUSLY???? How can you be a cashier and not know how much each coin in the drawer is worth... but that's besides the point. I get home finish cooking and at 7:50 pm I have the best most delicious bit of taco you can possibly imagine.... sooooooooo good. I finished while watching Dancing with the stars... by the way no pregnant woman stuffing her face with cheesy taco should look at scantly clad Etteta with an AMAZING body on TV which supposedly puts 10 lbs on you...where that 10 lbs goes on her I will never know... too bad she got eliminated last night hahahaha I do love her however don't really want to see her for the next.... say 9 months!!!

I will update you later on the apt!

10 weeks!!!!

Yippee :) I can't believe we are here already. The babies are now the size of prunes...awe my little prunes. It is still crazy to me that I have two of them in my belly......

Yesterday was a big day..... KFC released their bread-less chicken sandwich.... I HAD to try it and..... it was DELICIOUS!!!! By all means not something you can... or should I say "should" eat daily but it was a yummy special treat lol!!!

Sorry... its been awhile....

As my wonderful sister-in-law Kelly pointed out... far too long since I have posted on my blog. Well here is the truth........... I was afraid of posting......... yep afraid...... of other pregnant women coming after me......

The deal is this.... the only update I have in the baby department is that I feel.............. wonderful.......... really. This was almost precisely why I made a trip to the E.R. last week. No pregnant woman, especially with twins should feel as good as I have been feeling.... almost makes me nervous hahaha. I get tired and nap daily but other then that I am running at 110% I have had absolutely no morning sickness or nausea..... the shots (I will get to that in a second) have given me no side effects (lots of girls have problems with....well..... going #2... big time with this medication) my boobies have gotten bigger (I am thinking Pat likes this) but they are not sore what-so-ever, my nails are looking fabulous, and I am not any more hungry then normal . I am thinking I am in line to have one of the most enjoyable pregnancies ever :) I know some of you are thinking I may be speaking to soon but I am coming up on 10 weeks, close to being out of my first trimester, and couldn't be happier!!!!

As for those pesky shots...... by tomorrow night I will be done!!!!! Yippeeeeee!!! I will be moving on to a different type of progesterone supplement until week twelve and then DONE!! I can start functioning like a regular pregnant lady :) That will be a nice switch!!!

Last week I was just.... hanging around.... bored. This week I am going to work on a schedule and start some new crafty projects to keep myself busy. I think I have some great ideas but sometimes the ideas are much better then their final project :)

Count down till Friday, my new DR apt. I should be able to hear their heartbeats instead of just seeing them... so exciting. Pat unfortunately cant make it to this one but I am going to try to get a video.... we'll see... if I do I will of course share it here with all of you!

What a week!!!

So this week has been crazy!!! Monday Pats mom came Tuesday all of our stuff came with the movers Wednesday we had an apt with the OBGYN and Thursday worked like crazy unpacking Friday more unpaking, tears and a trip to the ER (will explain below) and Saturday more unpacking.......... Good news is that is almost done :)

So here is what happened at the OBGYN. Spend forever writing out my history etc and then sit with the Dr. going over it... she was sooooo nice. She started off asking questions and talking about the twins, everything is a-okay at this point... then we go into my past... as we got to my prior blood clot she started saying I was high risk (I wasnt too surpirsed) but she said she would be my Dr and I would also be seeing the high risk Dr... ok not to bad... the we talked about my Leap procedure before (for pre cancer cells "down there"), that can cause an incompetent cervix which means they either stitch you up (sounds great I know) or monitor closely early on and bed rest most likely later with the added weight of the second baby... at this point she is still my Dr.... then she asked about any birth defects with children in the family and I mentioned my little nephew had a problem with his heart and explained it, she said no problem we will be sure to do echo's on the babies around 20 weeks.... then we move into what would be her last straw... my adhesions and prior suregeries... yep right about here she was done with me hahaha. She explained in detail that my delivery is to risky for vaginal because often with two the second baby can become stressed and need an emergency c-section, baby must be out in under 5-10 minutes, because of the scarring this is not possible it will take to much time ... I will need a "team of Dr's" which can only happen at one hospital in the area she said not to worry that the babies will be fine but they had to be careful with me... I really wasn't super surprised I have always had a feeling I would be high risk however I guess I never thought it would be so much that a Dr wouldnt want me as a patient... but I totally know its for the best for all three of us and I will do whatever it takes to get those little ones here safe :) The other benefit to the extra monitoring is extra ultrasounds :) I love seeing the babies.... which brings me to Friday...

So I am a crazy person.... not a big shocker there haha. After my Wednesday apt I was sad I didnt get an ultrasound and started worrying that something was wrong. I know I should just relax but I was just feeling great like extra great, no pregnancy symptoms at all....other then my pants being too tight :) No morning sickness, sore boobies no anything, figuring I have two in there I thought maybe I had been doing too much with moving stuff around... like I had hurt them(I know ... I am crazy...but hey I am a first timer I have no clue about this stuff) so I wanted to be sure they were ok ... my next apt which will be with the high risk Dr isnt for two weeks which just seemed....way.....too.....long...... so I threw a fit until Pat and his mom agreed with me and took my to the ER. The good news is they were awesome there and very understanding but the even better news is both babies are doing absolutely great!!!

At this point I was 8 weeks and 4 days
Baby A measuring 8 weeks and 5 days heartbeat 164 (my over achiever)
Baby B measuring 8 weeks and 3 days heartbeat 170 (my little peanut)

They got some great pictures but they didnt give me any :( Best part was that PAt got to come in and see his babies for the first time... no he didnt cry :)

So with this I am going to try to enjoy the fact I have been feeling great and have no neusea and relax until I go for my next apt on the 16th :)

Hope you all have a great Easter!
