8 weeks!!

So here is our new picture :) Babies are now the size of raspberries... so fast :)

I am currently sitting n Panera Bread on the computer.... no internet at the new house yet... yes its killing me.... Wednesday couldn't come fast enough haha. We had an overall great trip to D.C and I am really happy with our house and neighborhood. Our furniture comes tomorrow and I think after we start to organize it will start to feel like home.

Today Pat mom comes in to help us get organized which will be such a big help since I really cant do to much lifting and bending. Wednesday late afternoon I am supposed to go to a new OB practice. I may be picky but I am not sure about this one so I am going to keep looking around to see if I can find one that's maybe a bit closer.

I will keep you posted.... as soon as I get internet... I think I am addicted... big time withdrawal hahaha

Ultrasound pictures :)

So here are the most beautiful little peanuts ever! The top picture is today at 7 weeks 2 days. I know it looks like one is much larger then the other but it is because of the angle of the ultrasound. Baby A is closer to the camera so most likely always look bigger then Baby B but in actuality they are very similar in size (although they swapped which baby was Baby A but you can see what I mean). They said maybe 1-2 days apart from when they implanted.... if you look back to the picture of the blasts before we transferred them back inside one was a bit bigger then the other ...that baby probably attached first but both ar perfectly healthy and I couldn't ask for more :)

Because of their size its hard to get them both in one picture but you can still see them. I like the up-close of Baby A today because you can see the little arm sticking out (its a very little arm so you must look close) :)

The bottom picture is last weeks at 6 weeks 2 days, pretty crazy how fast they grow!!!

Belly pictures

We had a great update today at the Dr's office.... first let me start by saying I had an army of people to see these little ones on film (yes I know they are famous already lol) My mom, dad, mother in law, sister in law Kelly and Aunt Debbie all were there to see the babies little hearts beating away. The Dr looks for the heartbeat to be above 120 at this point and we have a 141 and a 147!!!! Strong little guys... or girls :) I was so excited to have such a great report... it really helps to make me feel much more confident that we will be bringing both of our babies "home" soon....well kind of soon :)

Ok since I have been slacking a bit at pictures I will give you a few :)

So the bottom picture is my belly just before I took the home pregnancy test, right around 4 weeks pregnant............... the beginning lol! This one is important because then you see..... the one on the on top.... that was today 7 weeks, um.... ya ....I think its growing :)

PS those jeans... the ones that needed a belt.... are the ones I cant button anymore...... hahaha

7 week picture

They are now approximately 1/2 long, like the size of a blueberry :)

7 weeks :)

7 weeks already!!! Went by fairly quickly I think, although I am sure the next 30+ weeks might not hahaha.

I have been feeling pretty great so far. No morning sickness but I have been told it usually starts around 8-10 weeks so I may not be off the hook just yet. I have been very tired... often... very often :) My boobies are .... um.... very big.... and my belly is already giving my pants a run for their money.... just still surprises me how quick these things start to happen but I guess its a little faster because there is 2 babies???

I only packed two pairs of jeans while waiting for the move.... I can only button one pair (they are a smidgen bigger then the other) so I am already using the hair tie trick to keep them closed. Makes me wonder "exactly how big will this belly of mine get?" Not that I am complaining :) I can fix it after my little ones arrive... for now I will just embrace my pudginess hahaha.

Tomorrow will be a great day! I have an ultrasound. Its my last one before I leave for D.C. I can not wait to see their little hearts beating again its pretty amazing.

Buy maybe the best part of this week will be Friday.......... I get to see my Pat!!!!!! I miss him so much and cant wait!

Next week I am going to go meet our new Dr ....I found a practice only 5 miles from our new house, appointment's on Wednesday, the 31st. I hope they are nice :)

I will update you guys tomorrow I will still try to get their last ultrasound uploaded today somehow.

What a day!

Last night I went to dinner with a friend and when I got home I realized I was having some spotting... of course I began to freak out... went to bed and figured it would be better by this morning but it wasn't. I cried called Pat and then the Dr's office who got me in today at 2:00....

The next couple hours were awful, we got there 30 minutes early and ended up waiting an hour total. The Dr. warned me that I was early and we might not see anything much but then the best sight and words I have ever heard....

"Well there are two sacs, Baby A has a heartbeat....... Baby B has a heartbeat" I cried!!! I was just soooooo happy I couldn't believe it. We are having twins!!!

The Dr. wanted to see both heartbeats over 100, we had one little one at 108 and one at 111... thrilled! The spotting was from a hemorrhage above the babies and she said it was normal and absolutely ok that it was happening :) Wow... I call baby B my little over-achiever/ mini Pat because he/she is a bit bigger then baby A.

I go back next Wednesday for another scan. I cant wait to see my little babies again :)

I will try to figure out how to upload a copy of the ultrasound.

Final Beta ........

Came in at 8312 :) I am soooo .................. hmm........... I have run out of other words so I guess excited, happy, thrilled!!!

Our first ultrasound will be next Thursday :) One week from today I will get to see my baby... or babies :)

My wonderful mother in law and sister in law Kelly went with me to Motherhood today and I got my first maternity clothes. I tried them on with the fake belly... oh boy... My running motto today was "I wont be THAT big" and their running answer was "oh yes you will". It was such a great day and I was happy to share it with them.

Of course I filled Pat in and he is excited, we both are just waiting to be together so we can celebrate our new family :)

Tomorrow is a big day :)

Tomorrow morning I go in for my third and final Beta. Wow. This is by far the furthest I have ever gotten and just cant wait for my final number. I will be on pins and needles all day, but I am thankful to be spending the day with my mother in law and my sister in law so that will help pass some time. We are hoping for any number over 7000.... please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and I will update you as soon as I know :)

I am really missing my hubby... I just wish he was here to celebrate with me instead of celebrating over the phone... soon .... two more weeks.....................

This is what my baby (babies) look like now..... amazing all of this happens so quick! The site I get these pictures from updates them each time I am a new "week" pregnant I will try to keep up with them here :)

hmmmmm

I am just in awe about this pregnancy stuff............... I have been feeling so much stretching and pulling and cramping its crazy.

I guess I knew that would happen as everything starts making room for baby but I just had no idea it would start so soon... Not that I am complaining :) It kind of makes me feel good, like something is going on in there, I suppose like a confirmation or something........ I like little signs it is helping me get through till my next blood test... oh boy then it will be the wait for my first ultrasound :) That will be an exciting day!!!

I go back in Thursday for our last Beta then we can schedule our first ultrasound!!! I cant wait to see the little heartbeat .........or two little heartbeats.

Beta #2

Well I am back from my bloodwork apt this morning... just waiting until we get the call with the updates. We are looking for our last number to double so hopefully today will bring us somewhere between 1400-2000.

The girls at my Dr's office were all congratulating me... It still just sounds funny when someone says I am pregnant hahaha I am sure that will eventually sounds normal :)

I will post an update just as soon as I know!

Beta # is in!!!

Well I am sorry to leave anyone in suspense but I have been busy celebrating all day :)

The Beta is in at 689!!!!!!!!!!! This is a super great number, I was hoping for 100 lol!!! I guess I got that and some :)

My nurses all seem to think for the amount of days past my procedure and my number today that we are having twins :) :) :) Of course numbers are flexible and there still is a chance that there will just be one very healthy baby but the nurses were pretty certain.

Pat and I are just ecstatic. I just cant wait till we are together and can finally celebrate with each other.

Next Monday and then on Thursday we will have follow-up betas to be sure the number is doubling (that shows it is progressing nicely) then the following week we will have our first ultrasound to hear there sweet little heartbeats and to confirm how many :)

Cant wait!!! I am sooooo thankful!

Tomorrow is the big day!!!

Yes that means I convinced the nurses move me up a day :) I am soooooo looking forward to the big confirmation from them..... In my heart I know I am pregnant.... there is just something to be said about having someone else tell you that indeed you are pregnant.

I should be embarrassed about taking daily home pregnancy test.. but I am not :) They are undeniable now, today the test line was darker then the control line. When I bought a box the other day I had a little old lady at the cash register and when she rang them up I told her "I already know those are positive but I just want to see the lines one more time... its been a long road".

I went to a food study/focus group the other day and there was a lady in the group 5 months pregnant and we were talking and I told her I had just found out I am pregnant too... and it just sounds funny... maybe after tomorrow it will start to sink in... or maybe it wont until after my first ultrasound but I am just so happy.

I can tell you this... we may have one very healthy little baby but I think I am leaning towards two....I have already been waking up each morning with a slight case of nausea, have been utterly exhausted mid-day for the last few days and my stomach is honestly already a bit bigger and firmer.. although this is my first time and I have nothing to compare it too :) Nevertheless I will be thrilled no matter what we have!!!!

Will update you with my Beta # tomorrow!

Still Sinking In :)

I was sooooo excited all day yesterday. I just still cant believe that we are finally pregnant. I think it didn't really sink in for Pat until last night, he called and said "hi my little baby momma" :)

The other night I met up with two friends at a restaurant, they were both having margarita's. So when the waitress stopped by to ask what she could get for me, before I answered my friend said "She's pregnant no margarita's for her" and I laughed. It sounded so funny to me, I guess because I have never been and was still so uncertain that it worked... and now two days later I really am PREGNANT yippeee!!!!!

Yesterday I picked up two pregnancy test that my sister-in-law Kristin was holding hostage (so I didn't test early.... see how well that turned out hahaha). So this morning I took another one ( a different brand) and it is positive too :) Even a bit darker then yesterday which makes me super happy as it means the pregnancy is getting stronger and I am making more hormones.

I am just so thankful we have gotten this far. Of course we still have lots of milestones to cross before I get to hold me baby (babies?) but I am looking forward to each one.
